Bronowice Cemetery. When travelling to Katowice from Kraków, you pass a lesser known yet important cemetery on ul. Pasternik in the Bronowice Wielkie district. Established in 1909 and owned by the city since the Second World War, it was repeatedly extended and now covers 2.5ha. It is the last resting place for 8000 people, mostly from the nearby area.
