Rydlówka is a small historical manor house in the classicist style on ul. Tetmajera in the Bronowice Małe district. It is famous for the wedding of the poet Lucjan Rydel and Jadwiga Mikołajczyk, daughter of a local peasant, that was held there on 20 November 1900 and which Stanisław Wyspiański described in his play The Wedding. In this way, the location also became important for the history of Polish literature. Built by a painter, Włodzimierz Tetmajer, the house soon became a favoured destination of the artists of Young Poland who were fascinated by rural folklore.
Today, the manor house, named after its second owner and his family who still own it, is a museum allowing you ctoan visit the spaces where the wedding guests celebrated, and see paintings related to it, including some by Wyspiański himself.
